Backerkit is open! Smoke Test surveys are out! Giveaway winners announced!

Hi everyone!

The Backerkit is now open!

Pre-registration and Day-1 Prints have been awarded and we've initiated the recommended "Smoke Test" which sends surveys out to a random 5% of the Backers to make sure the survey questions, item assignments, add-ons, credit calculations, etc are all functioning as planned. Once that test is complete (usually within 24-48 hours, depending on how soon that randomly selected 5% respond), then we will hit "send" on the rest of the surveys. So the rest of you should see them by this weekend.

This set of surveys will be a little more involved than most other campaigns as we're using it to figure out who backed SHANGRI-LA or CARBON GREY so that we can segment you out for the Free Shipping qualification. We think we've figured out a well-organized way of handling that offer, so we're eager to see how the surveys roll in... Once we've identified who backed one of those earlier campaigns and how those individuals would like their stuff bundled, then we'll go about the process of manually adjusting both orders accordingly. It may take some practice swings to get it down pat, but we will make it work! 😀

Hi everyone!

Hope you had a nice weekend. We spent some time assembling the Backerkit for FALSE GUARD and have submitted it for review and activation. They recommend waiting for 10-14 days from the end of the campaign to send out surveys, primarily to let Kickstarter finish their collection process so that their imported data accurately reflects completed pledges. If we can get the green light to send them out sooner, we'd like to push them out this weekend, but otherwise, the following week seems like a safe bet.

The Backerkit window will be relatively short since these orders will be ready to ship as soon as November (barring any shipping delays). Granted, that's somewhat of a moot point for backers who qualify for the Free Shipping with SHANGRI-LA or CARBON GREY since those will be shipping in December and January respectively. 

Here's how the "Free Shipping" with previous campaign pledges will work:

If you backed at a physical tier, your Backerkit survey will contain a question asking if you backed a) SHANGRI-LA/CARBON&SILICON, b) CARBON GREY, or c) NEITHER.

• (If you backed one of those other campaigns but wish for FALSE GUARD to ship separately, select "Neither" -- you will, however, then be responsible to pay for shipping.) 

Once surveys are in, we will manually confirm your pledge to the selected previous campaign.

In the meantime, you will see shipping calculated for your order while we cross-reference and confirm your qualification. Don't worry, if you qualify and your orders can be combined, we will negate that shipping amount from your FALSE GUARD ORDER. (You will still be responsible for any extra add-ons costs, however.)

Once we have locked the FALSE GUARD Backerkit orders (around October 10th) we will add your final FALSE GUARD order items to the other campaign cart at no extra charge to that destination campaign. They will just be added to that cart for packing purposes.

(Note: we have extended the SHANGRI-LA Backerkit window until October 15th to allow for this order-bundling process.)

This is admittedly an experimental process, and it may end up requiring a lot of individual order manipulation on our part, but we are committed to making it work as promised. 😊 We're pretty confident the process will work out as planned, so much so that we're preparing another flash-offering that can be bundled for even more savings... but more on that in the next few weeks... 😉
